The five short stories in Birds do not tell tales of colorful flying animals but of humans. The landscape conspicuously often seems Swiss. Two of the texts even take place on tangible places in Zurich. The protagonists are outsiders, marginal figures that regularly struggle with the human condition, economic progress or familial expectations. What all the stories connects is a bird.
Benedikt Bock is an artist livening and working in Zurich. Currently he’s working on his first novel titled ,Robert Zweifel’.
